good vs bad

what words are associated with being good, and being bad.

Good words: honesty, loyalty, trustworthy, righteousness, benevolence, caring, nurturing, giving, generous, dependable, honorable, fair, forgiveness, charity, self-sacrifice...

Bad words: corruption, greed, envy, dishonesty, deceitful, malevolence, cruelty, devious, resentment...

My question is: How fine is the line between good and bad. In the words I have written above, it may seem, to most, that bad and good is as simple as black and white, but Im sure most of us see our lives are in many shades of grey. Helping one person may be doing another a disservice, where does a word like favortism fall. How do we know that in all cases we are doing the right thing. The more time taken to researches a problem we hope to think, the better the chances are, that the "good" decision is being made. As in the yin and yang... in all good there is some bad and within all bad some good.
